What factors are considered when determining if a commodity is climate neutral?
This study (Climate neutral livestock production – A radiative forcing-based climate footprint approach) focussed on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with farming sheep meat. Factors such as the water and land use footprint of lamb and other foods have been assessed in separate research:
- Cropland Footprints of Australian Dietary Choices
- Diet Quality and Water Scarcity: Evidence from a Large Australian Population Health Survey
- The Environmental sustainability of Australian lamb: A Life Cycle Assessment
