Grazing livestock is the largest category of land use in Australia. The majority are taking action to manage natural resources and biodiversity on their properties.

Maintaining and improving the environment for future farming generations is of utmost importance to red meat producers.

Around 55% of cattle grazing land is managed for biodiversity outcomes, and over 70% of sheep producers are taking action to maintain or enhance biodiversity on their properties.

And in 2023, 57% of natural resource management regions in Australia reported achieving healthy groundcover thresholds.
